Hapoel Jerusalem will finish the regular season at least in second place, following its 101 (106) victory tonight (Sunday) in Herzliya after an excellent game that went into overtime.
Now Jerusalem is hoping for a plot twist.
If Maccabi Tel Aviv loses tomorrow at the Hapoel Haifa arena, Jerusalem will finish first and have a home advantage throughout the playoffs. In case there is no splash and Jerusalem finishes second, it will meet Hapoel Tel Aviv in the quarterfinals of the playoffs for a hot series.
The Jerusalem game against Herzliya we may also get as a playoff semifinal series and if what we saw tonight is preparation - then there is something to look forward to.
Herzliya played in a missing lineup without Chris Bab and Sean Dawson.
Quinton Hooker returned after an absence of nearly three months.
It was a rhythmic game with upheavals during it and a dramatic finish that led to overtime, where Yotam Halperin came up with a low five with Adam Ariel in position 4 and it worked.

Meanwhile, Hapoel Tel Aviv finished in seventh place after defeating Hapoel Eilat 63:90. Only on Monday will they know who their opponent is in the quarterfinals: a derby against Maccabi Tel Aviv or Hapoel Jerusalem.
Two things stood out tonight at Drive-In: the crushing final quarter of the Reds in which they won 9:36 and the performance of JP Tokoto.
Hapoel's best player this season finished with 25 points, 13 rebounds and a 40 index.
Hapoel ends the regular season with a big victory over Eilat.
Tomorrow we will know against whom we will play in the playoffs.

To win seventh place, Hapoel Gilboa / Galil had to win in Ness Ziona and Hapoel Tel Aviv would lose. Neither that happened nor that happened. Ness Ziona, who lost a chance in the last round playoffs, at least finished the season with a smile when they defeated their rival 73:93.
It was an excellent evening for Golan Gut, who scored seven threes from nine attempts.
Gilboa interrupted an excellent period of four consecutive victories.
Only one of its players (Michael Brisker) reached a double-digit balance of points.
In a game that did not determine anything, Hapoel Beer Sheva defeated the relegated team Leumit Maccabi Rishon Lezion 76:95.
