VfB Stuttgart still has a chance of staying up in the league on the last day of the game.

Thanks to a 2-2 (1-2) draw against FC Bayern Munich, Stuttgart still have a chance of jumping up to 15th place with a win next weekend.

Hertha BSC shouldn't get a point in the parallel game - VfB has the better goal difference.

The Munich team had already lost points against a supposedly easy opponent on the last matchday.

There was a 3-1 defeat against Mainz after Bayern secured the championship by beating Dortmund on the previous day.

Stuttgart even took the lead against FC Bayern.

Omar Marmoush served Tiago Tomas, who scored under the bar with a direct acceptance (8th minute).

Müller fails at Müller

Bayern tried to equalize but missed some good chances.

Thomas Müller only hit the crossbar (12'), Leon Goretzka pushed the ball past the goal from a few meters (13').

The Stuttgarter won a duel between Müller and Müller (Thomas and VfB keeper Florian) (28th).

But at some point the pressure was too great: Serge Gnabry was staged by Robert Lewandowski on the right, where he let Borna Sosa out and shot on goal.

Konstantinos Mavropanos tried to avoid the goal, but then shot the ball into his own goal (35').

Bayern increased before the break.

Müller initially prepared his opening goal himself with a technically demanding ball takeaway, then confidently converted it into the right corner (44th).

But the game was not decided yet: Stuttgart striker Saša Kalajdžić equalized with a header.

Sosa had previously been able to cross unchallenged (52').

Just a minute later, Kalajdžić could have almost scored the third VfB goal – but keeper Manuel Neuer made a save.

Bayern's defense was error-prone that day.

And there was also criticism in terms of discipline: Kingsley Coman saw the red card after a wipe through his opponent's face.
