Mick Schumacher disappointed in Imola - Uncle Ralf calls for improvements in Miami and sees Sebastian Vettel as a possible role model.

Miami – No, that's not how Mick Schumacher imagined the Imola Grand Prix.

Two serious driving errors caused the rookie to fall from tenth to 17th place in his second year.

Schumacher is still waiting for his first points of the current season, his new teammate Kevin Magnussen already has 15 points.

The

expert was disappointed with Mick's performance in Imola.

The Haas pilot did a good job in the dry.

“But there were too many mistakes in the race.

Of course, that shouldn't happen in this form," says the 46-year-old.

Ironically, Sebastian Vettel, who has not always been convincing in recent years, could be a role model.

“Vettel has done it.

In Australia he still made a lot of mistakes, now in Imola it was good.

Mick can take that as an example," the

expert explained his train of thought.

Ralf Schumacher does not have to worry about his job for the time being, Sebastian Vettel cannot imagine the job as a TV expert.

Formula 1: How does Ralf Schumacher explain his nephew's mistakes?

Shortly after the start, Mick Schumacher slipped away from Imola in the rain, not a big problem for his uncle.

“It even happened to Daniel Ricciardo.

It can happen to anyone,” he says.

The former Williams driver is much more critical of the braking on lap 25, when Mick Schumacher narrowly escaped a crash with Nicolas Latifi.

“But the second mistake was just too much.

You have to say it like that, it shouldn’t happen.”

Then comes the clear announcement!

"In the next races he has to finish ahead of Kevin Magnussen," the uncle demands of his nephew.

Mick has to analyze the weekend and gain experience.

The next chance to do better is at the race in Miami on May 8th at 9:30 p.m. German time.

In any case, Ralf Schumacher expects a lot.

“Mick gets along better with new tracks.

He has already shown that.

That's why I expect something from him in Miami," explains Schumacher.
