TSV 1860 at 1. FC Magdeburg in the live ticker – lions dream of a promotion miracle
The rise of the lions is actually quite simple.
After the 3-0 win against Havelse a week ago, two more threes are needed, and the competition has to drop points in the promotion battle of the 3rd division.
TSV 1860 is currently fourth in the table, the minimum goal is to qualify for the DFB Cup.
The third in the table 1. FC Kaiserslautern has to make a mistake, then the lions can still make it into the relegation.
In their last game of the season on Sunday, the Palatinate travel to Viktoria Cologne, who is still in the relegation battle.
Means: Sixty can build up maximum pressure with a win in Magdeburg.
With a lot of imagination, direct promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga is even possible.
TSV 1860 at 1. FC Magdeburg in the live ticker – Löwen coach Köllner hopes for a “mega coup”
"Of course, many constellations have to come together so that you can still pull off the mega coup in the end.
But: Everything is still in the lottery, even direct promotion.
Why shouldn't that happen?” believes Löwen trainer Michael Köllner.
Braunschweig would have to lose its two remaining games, the Löwen made up nine goals with two wins on the second in the table.
A difficult task, but not impossible.
Despite all the arithmetic games, the TSV 1860 has to do its own homework first.
A real board awaits with Magdeburg.
The lions can overtake the already promoted team with a win in the second half of the table.
In the first half of the season there was a 5-2 defeat, after which ex-captain Sascha Mölders had to go.
“The path we have taken since then is impressive,” enthuses Köllner.
This path could now lead to ascension.
