Syria's junior basketball team meets its Iraqi counterpart at the opening of its participation in the West Asian Championship

Damascus, SANA- With the Iraqi national team meeting tomorrow, the Syrian national under-16 basketball team will inaugurate its participation

By meeting the Iraqi team tomorrow, the Syrian national under-16 basketball team will open its participation in the West Asian Championship, hosted by the Jordanian capital, Amman, and which will continue until the 14th of this month.

The second confrontation of our team in the tournament will be against the Iranian team the day after tomorrow, and the Lebanese team will meet next Friday to conclude its matches next Saturday with the Jordan team.

Our team's delegation includes Jack Pashayani as coach, Iyad Abdel Hai as coach, Muhammad Al-Tarn and Nadim Zarz as assistant coaches, Fares Nassif as administrator, Anas Shaaban as therapist, and Majd Al-Safadi as media coordinator.

The delegation also includes the players: Abdel-Gawad Haskal, Ghaith Al-Shami, George Kallajian, Andrew Hamamji, Laith Daks, Fouad Abdel-Nour, Laith Dahman, Louay Azawi, Anas Al-Hajji, Joan Jajo, Rami Semaan and Omar Tayara.

Our team was preparing for the tournament through a local training camp that witnessed intensive morning and evening training sessions and played a preparatory match with the Al-Thawra U-23 team to determine the players' readiness.
