Bayern star missed handing over the championship trophy

On Sunday the time had come: the FC Bayern Munich players were finally allowed to celebrate with the championship trophy.
However, offensive player Leroy Sané was absent.
Munich – The FC Bayern players had actually been crowned German champions against Dortmund more than two weeks ago.
After the defeat in Mainz and the short vacation of some players in Ibiza, the championship trophy was only awarded after the last home game of the season against VfB Stuttgart.
However, the mood was limited when the trophy was handed over given the 2-2 final result against the relegation candidates, with Leroy Sané even one of the big stars missing from the ceremony.

With the exception of returnee Sven Ulreich, the newcomers to FC Bayern celebrated their first championships.
This also applied to Julian Nagelsmann and his coaching team, the head coach later even commented on the weight of the legendary bowl.
For the established professionals, some of whom have been playing for the series champion for years, the handover has already become a habit, even though it was handed over for the first time this year by the new DFL Managing Director Donata Hopfen.
Observant fans will surely have wondered about a missing player during the celebrations after the final whistle.
The regulars and the rarely used teenagers, such as Gabriel Vidovic or Paul Wanner, celebrated with the staff with the championship trophy.
But Leroy Sané, who had contributed seven goals and seven assists to the title this season despite a fluctuating performance curve and a lot of criticism from outside, stayed away from the ceremony.

As was reported afterwards, the absence of the 26-year-old had no sporting or even disciplinary reasons.
The 60 million purchase of 2020 missed the second bowl handover since moving to Munich due to illness.

Youngster Jamal Musiala was also absent due to illness, so the 19-year-old young national player was not in the matchday squad either and had to watch the draw against VfB.
Unlike Sané, he was able to celebrate the only title this season with the fans.
