FC Bayern and the midfielder are reluctant to make a decision about the future.

Munich – At FC Bayer Munich professionals who leave the club at the end of the season are befittingly bid farewell before the last Bundesliga home game.

Niklas Süle is moving to Borussia Dortmund in the summer, that has been known for a long time.

"No final decision has been made yet," said FCB coach Julian Nagelsmann, who appreciates Tolisso's qualities very much, at the press conference after the Stuttgart game.

“That leaves room for interpretation in all directions.” Bayern have long had their sights set on a replacement in young Dutchman Ryan Gravenberch.

The transfer of the midfield jewel is not fixed yet.

It is possible that the German series champion is playing for a while in the Tolisso case and wants to keep a back door open.

FC Bayern: Tolisso's salary is not acceptable due to susceptibility to injury

Tolisso's susceptibility to injury is and remains a thorn in Bayern's side.

Once the Frenchman has found his top form, the next injury slows him down, this season alone he missed 17 competitive games for health reasons.

Even Tolisso fan Nagelsmann has lost faith.

“The statistics of the last few years are always very identical.

And you always have to consider to what extent it makes sense if a player repeatedly has to deal with muscular injuries," said the FCB coach.

FC Bayern cannot and does not want to afford a high-earning professional who is only rarely available in its salary table, especially not in financially difficult times of the pandemic.

Tolisso, who scored 21 goals and 15 assists in 118 appearances, played just under half of all possible competitive games in his five years at Bayern.

Tolisso will be 28 in August and is in the best footballing age.

His goal is likely to be the last major contract in his career.

It is hard to imagine that Bayern would pay him his desired salary.

Tolisso, who is associated with ex-club Olympique Lyon and Italian and Spanish clubs, is on the way out.

With substitute goalkeeper Sven Ulreich, who is "always there when you need him", the expiring contract has already been extended.
