Following a series of controversial refereeing decisions in key moments in the last game against Maccabi Tel Aviv,
today (Tuesday) the management of Hapoel Galil Elyon contacted the referees 'union in
order to receive explanations for the referees' decisions in the game.
In addition, the management of the Northern Club demands explanations regarding the mechanism for placing the referees in the team games and in general.
An inspection conducted by the club's staff shows that Sefi Shemesh and Amit Black, two of the three senior referees in the league, have not refereed even once this season in Kfar Blum, and in total have refereed only three games of the team during the season.
Omar Estron, another senior referee in the league, also refereed Galil only four times this season, only once in Kfar Blum.

The Northern Club is aware that sometimes encounters between other rivals can be more charged and central and therefore requires senior referees, but does not understand why in their games almost no senior referees are embedded, which they claim leads to critical mistakes.
"An examination we conducted regarding the placement of referees in league games reveals a worrying picture of where and where between the teams. We expect the referees' union to provide professional explanations and transparency regarding decisions regarding the placement of referees in league games," the club said in a statement.
