Swimmer Anastasia Gurbanko, will compete starting tomorrow (Wednesday) in the criteria competition for the World Championships, which will take place next week at the Wingate Pool in Netanya.
For 18-year-old Gorbanko, this will be her first major competition in the country, since the great success at the Tokyo Olympics, where she became the first Israeli in the Olympic final, finishing eighth in the 100-meter backstroke.
In addition to the achievement at the Olympics, Gorbanko had a great year, winning the gold medals in the 50m breaststroke and 100m individual medley at the World Short Course Championships (25m), when next month she will try to recreate that in the Olympic pool as well.
In addition to Gorbanko, all senior executives in the industry will take part in the competition.
It will be Aviv Barzilai, Gal Cohen Gromi, Dennis Loktev, Daniel Namir, Tomer Frenkel, Bar Soloveitchik, Michael Leitrovsky, who are studying in colleges in the United States, who will start in Netanya.
