Mischa Zverev will analyze the French Open as the successor to Boris Becker for Eurosport.
This is not the first time he has acted as a TV expert.
Munich – Boris Becker is highly regarded as a tennis expert.
For his coverage of the US Open 2017, the six-time Grand Slam winner, together with moderator Matthias Stach, received the German TV Award 2018 in the category "Best Sports Show".
The duo received the award for the second year in a row.
In the meantime, Becker, who still has a contract with Eurosport until 2023, has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison for delaying bankruptcy.
The tennis icon has to make friends with the tough everyday life in prison, which she doesn't seem to be able to do quite well yet.
Will Becker return as a TV expert after his prison sentence?
Eurosport
is checking that, reports

In the meantime, the broadcaster presented a new expert.

It won't be a completely new experience for Zverev, the former number 25 in the world rankings was already a co-commentator during the Olympic Games in Tokyo - and already accompanied younger brother Alexander's Olympic victory on the Eurosport microphone, among other things.

Mischa Zverev on the Eurosport microphone: That's planned
There will be two editions of "Matchball" per day.
One edition will be broadcast at 8:30 p.m. before the evening session, which is new in Roland Garros, and one edition after it.
"It will be two intensive weeks of tennis with high-quality matches," says Zverev, looking ahead to the French Open, which starts on May 22nd.
With what motivation does the native Russian start the task?
"I don't just want to explain to the spectators the small details that can often make a big difference, but also convey the enthusiasm for tennis."
Barbara Rittner will open the tennis evening with her show "First Serve Rittner" at 6:30 p.m.
