The Euroleague announced today (Wednesday) the selection of Rokas Yukobaitis, the young Lithuanian coordinator of Barcelona, as the discovery of the year in the second division in nature.
The 21-year-old Yokobaitis, who started his professional career at Zalgiris, had an excellent season this year under Sharas at Barcelona and averaged 7.2 points alongside 2.8 assists.
Also in the playoff series against Bayern Munich, the rising star got significant minutes and was excellent.
Next Thursday - the young coordinator together with his team will meet Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Euroleague Final Four in Belgrade, and will try to end a wonderful season by winning the most coveted title in Europe.
