Hapoel Tel Aviv is in advanced negotiations with Jacoben Brown for a new contract for two more seasons, "Israel Today" learned for the first time.
The 32-year-old Brown signed with the Reds last summer and led them to the state cup final for the first time in 29 years.
He was later injured and as a result there was a significant setback in the team ability.
Now he is back to business and is in shape for the fascinating quarterfinal series of the playoffs against Maccabi Tel Aviv, which will begin on Thursday.
When signed, Brown will join Bar Timor, Idan Zalmanson, Gil Benny, Raz Adam and Lotan Amsalem, who have already signed for next season, so Hapoel Tel Aviv has a strong base that continues for another season.
