Like last year, TSV 1860 missed promotion at the end of the season.

President Robert Reisinger increases the pressure for the coming season and speaks plainly.

Munich – Unusually clear words from Oberlöwe Robert Reisinger, who wants to be re-elected in July.

In an interview with the Bild newspaper, the 58-year-old clearly announced his return to the 2nd Bundesliga for the coming season.

“Next season there can only be one goal and that is: promotion!

That must be clear from day one and also be said,” the President of TSV 1860 is quoted as saying.

In order for it to work, the squad should be strengthened in the summer.

Reisinger does not want to take part in speculation about a return by Moritz Leitner, for example, but shows what profile the pros should have: “We need players who have not been able to shape their careers in the way that would have corresponded to their potential.

We offer them a second or third chance, so to speak.”

"We can't do it with choirboys.

We need players who go ahead, show rough edges.”

Robert Reisinger on the player profile for the upcoming season.

New signing Tim Rieder and Albion Vrenezi fit into the scheme proclaimed by Reisinger.

Meris Skenderovic (24) has already gained third division experience at Carl-Zeiss Jena in 2019/20 and comes with the recommendation of 16 goals this season from FC Schweinfurt's regional league.

Further reinforcements with leader qualities are to follow: "We can't do it with choirboys.

We need players who go ahead, show rough edges.”

Before that, however, he once again takes responsibility for the current squad and unequivocally demands three points against Borussia Dortmund's second team on the last day of the game: "That can only be the minimum goal.

Participation in the DFB Cup is essential and gives the sporting management room to maneuver," says Reisinger.

“You have to get your nerves under control.

The body language must show from the first second: 1860 is the gentleman in the Grünwalder Stadium.

I want to see eleven warriors and no cowards." (Jörg Bullinger)
