Less than a day after winning the Dutch Championship, Ajax announced tonight (Thursday) the appointment of a new coach, who will replace the brother Eric Tan.
So the one who has won respect and responsibility is the Dutchman Alfred Schroeder, who has signed for the next two seasons with an option for another one.
Schroeder served as Ronald Koeman's assistant at Barcelona in the 2020/21 season, and will now return for another term at Ajax, having been Tan's assistant for the 2018/19 season.
Earlier, he served as coach of Twente and then also worked at Hoffenheim where he coached Mons Dabour.
Last January, he was appointed coach of the Belgian Club Brugge.
Welcome back, boss!

"It's an honor and a great opportunity to be the head coach of Ajax," Schroeder said after the official announcement. "I'm excited to be back here because I really enjoyed the year and a half I worked for Ajax. "With Club Brugge, good luck. I want to say goodbye to a degree, it's very important to me."
