Eric Olhats, former adviser to Antoine Griezmann, indicted and remanded in custody

Arrested at his home on Wednesday morning and then placed in police custody at the Bayonne police station (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), Eric Olhats was presented to an investigating judge at the Bayonne court on Thursday afternoon and then indicted for sexual abuse on minors and possession of pornographic images of minors.

He was then remanded in custody.

A judicial inquiry has also been opened.

The man who discovered Antoine Griezmann, recruiter at Real Sociedad then hosted for six years, disputes the alleged facts.

The latter would have taken place in 1998 and 1999 on three young people, then aged under 15.

He faces ten years in prison.

The case started with an anonymous letter sent to the Bayonne prosecutor's office in 2019, a letter which led to the opening of an investigation entrusted to the judicial police of the city.

Three complaints were then filed by the three alleged victims, all "students" of Olhats, says the press release from the Bayonne prosecutor's office.

The current recruiter of Atlético de Madrid, responsible for tracking down hopes for the Madrid club, faces up to ten years in prison.

This is not the first court case in which the former defensive midfielder is involved.

In 2009, he was convicted at first instance for corruption of minors at the Dax court.

He was acquitted in 2010 in his appeal trial in Pau.
