Supporters of the Riviera club hijacked a song from Nantes fans to the glory of their former striker, who died in 2019 at the age of 28 in a crash in the Channel, while he was traveling to Cardiff to finalize his transfer.

This incident, which prompted numerous condemnations, including that of OGC Nice, came four days after the final of the Coupe de France lost by the Aiglons against the Canaries (1-0), on Saturday.

The insults “

came from a few people, but they weren't just three.

But let them stay at home with their bottles and their insults.

If that's our society, we're in deep shit

, ”reacted Nice coach Christophe Galtier.

"

Human bullshit has no limit, I am outraged

," added his Nantes counterpart Antoine Kombouaré, after his team's victory against Rennes (2-1) in the evening.

These guys don't belong in a stadium.

They really should be banned.

It is shameful.

I feel sorry for Emiliano's family.

I knew that the supporters could be violent, idiots, but there …

“, he continued.

This season, the ultras from Nice have already been singled out, after the match against Marseille in August, interrupted after scuffles which led some supporters to invade the lawn and attack opposing players.

OGC Nice was penalized with a withdrawal of two points (including one suspended) as well as the total closed session of its stadium for three matches.

His meeting against OM had also been given to replay, behind closed doors, on neutral ground.

The next meeting of the Disciplinary Committee is scheduled for Wednesday, May 18.
