The most intriguing series in the quarterfinals of the playoffs in the Premier League opens tonight (Thursday) when Maccabi Tel Aviv hosts Hapoel Tel Aviv for the first derby of at least three, which was of course held by Yad Eliyahu.
The Yellows, who lost to Hapoel Haifa in the final round of the Upper House, will hope to beat the city rival for the first time in all competitions this season, having surrendered to the Reds in all three meetings so far.
Maccabi Tel Aviv lost Ante Žižić on Monday, who was hit in the head and as a result was not registered for the quarterfinals, when coach Avi Even decided not to register Angelo Cloiaro and Kyrie Thomas either.
On the other hand, Hapoel Tel Aviv was relegated due to a series of bad results that came during the absence of Jacoben Brown, but the American guard playoffs are coming in good shape and with him Danny Franco's team hopes to show once again that the victories in previous derbies did not come by chance.
