FC Lengdorf organizes the preliminary round perfectly and also provides the sporting highlight.

But FC Moosinning can also look forward to progressing.

Lengdorf - Somehow the host felt responsible for everything in this preliminary round of the Merkur CUP 2022. FC Lengdorf not only put on a great supporting program.

It was his footballers who were involved in the most exciting game.

Last game of a long Merkur CUP day: The FCL needs a point to reach the next round.

It's 1-1, but Post SV Munich is pushing for the opening goal.

But let's look back.

Actually, the whole day was already busy on the club grounds of FC Lengdorf.

The club had been awarded the contract by the BFV to host the preliminary round of the Merkur CUP 2022.

For tournament director Venja Quast, that doesn't just mean football, the surroundings should also be right.

She organized the football darts from TS Teamwear, which also included prizes for the best.

Hair bands for example.

"We still had them from our DFB campaign for Girls' Football Day," says Quast.

And she could count on something else: "Our crêpe station was a hit again."

The weather could have been better, at least in the morning.

Anyone who sees everything positively would call it Fritz-Walter-Wetter, and FC Fasanerie-Nord coped best with that.

Three wins, 13:0 goals – that's what you call dominance.

FC Perlach is also well deserved in the next round as second in the group.

"It was all very clear," sums up Quast.

It should be tighter in the afternoon.

In the meantime Peter had also decided to switch off his mighty irrigation system.

Rain was really no longer necessary, it just slipped like that.

For example for FC Moosinning, who secured their ticket for the intermediate round with eight points as second in the table.

In the first game against ESV Munich, FCM managed a 2:2.

Julia Lammer and Sarah Maier scored the two goals against the eventual group winners after being 2-0 down.

An early goal by Ella Glaser was enough against FC Teutonia, who also scored in the 5-0 win over FC Ottobrunn.

Lammer and Maier did the rest with two goals each.

FCM trainer Nils Rosenzweig was very satisfied: "Our Supermädelz showed a great team performance.

Great defence, great passing and they had the will to score.

That makes you want to go to the second qualifying round.” The FCM coach thanked “FC Lengdorf for the great organization”.

Helmuth Renner also saw it that way: "A great experience for the girls and the trainers." It was the first competition of this size for the newly founded E-Youth Team of FC Schwaig.

"The girls started the tournament correspondingly nervously," says the coach.

“But they were able to improve from game to game.

The reward was winning the last game.” Isabell Paproth and Julia Raßhofer scored the two goals in the 2-0 win over TSV Milbertshofen.

FCS had previously lost to Post SV and drew 0-0 with SC Baldham-Vaterstetten.

And Emily Salbeck scored the consolation goal at 1:3 against FC Lengdorf.

Which brings us to the host, who had a match winner in the local derby against Schwaig.

Theresa Menzinger scored all three goals against local rivals.

She was also among the scorers in the 5-0 win over TSV Milbertshofen.

Julia Moll and Sara Printimalli shared the remaining goals.

Due to the 1-0 defeat against Baldham, however, the FCL found themselves in the situation that the last game decided everything: a win would mean victory in the group, a draw would mean second place and thus the next round.

In the event of a defeat, the Lengdorf women would be out.

Too bad that the strongest opponent was waiting with Post SV Munich.

In front of a big backdrop, "that was a real thrill," says Quast.

With a nice free kick, Hanna Baumgartner gave the home team the lead, but just two minutes later the Munich team equalized.

In the second half, Post SV really delivered, attacked the Lengdorfer Tor, "but the girls held out," says the tournament director.

When the final whistle came, there was a big cheer.

Second place, the FCL is in the intermediate round.

It will be held on June 25th.

The organizer is not yet known.

Quast hopes that it will be a football festival similar to this tournament, in which almost everything was right.

The only drop of bitterness was an upper arm injury to a player from Ottobrunn.

She had to be taken to the doctor with the Sanka.

"Everything else was fine.

Fair games, no negative incidents, peaceful atmosphere, no bitching,” reports Quast, who was also enthusiastic about the two referees Werner Ramml and Thomas Thaler, who whistled through the entire tournament.

In general, the organization was a lot of teamwork, she says.

Quast: "People like Willi Brambring, Claudia Altmann, Stefan Weiherer or Dietmar Fischer are just a huge help."
