FC Bayern was also late with other transfers.
As transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports, Ajax star Noussair Mazraoui had already decided to move to FC Barcelona.
Nagelsmann is said to have persuaded the Moroccan right-back to switch to Säbener Straße in a telephone conversation.
