Tonight (Thursday), Oren Amiel signed a new contract for another two years at Bamberg and will continue at the German club at least until the summer of 2024.
Amiel, 50, was fired from Hapoel Jerusalem in November and a few weeks later was appointed head coach of the German team that started the season badly and fired its coach.
At the beginning of the week, the Israeli coach managed to advance his team to the playoffs in the very last round of the regular season, and tomorrow (20:00) it will open the quarterfinal series against Alba Berlin by Yuval Sussman and Tamir Blatt.
