Tough change for Boris Becker: in prison he has to get used to circumstances that are far different than usual.

His whining probably doesn't go down well.

London / Munich – Boris Becker's life took a 180 degree turn at the end of April 2022: the former Wimbledon winner was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for insolvency offences.

The conditions in London's Wandsworth prison seem to prompt Becker to complain and whine after just a few days.

The former tennis star enjoys some privileges: for example, his prison door remains open.

The 54-year-old still has to get used to his new living conditions.

Boris Becker in London prison: He probably complains to other inmates

As a report from

Bild.de shows

, the tennis icon should not have liked the fact

that he was not allowed to shower at the weekend (May 7th/8th).

Boris Becker

complained about this to other prisoners

.

In his everyday life in prison, Becker is only allowed two showers a week.

The small portions of food and the harsh prison conditions also seem to bother the 54-year-old.

As a source is said to have revealed to the British newspaper

Daily Mail

, Becker has the biggest problems with the food.

"He can't believe how bad it is and how small the portions are." One of his first meals was corned beef.

He was also shocked by the lack of sanitation in the prison because it is so overcrowded, the source added.

On April 29, Boris Becker was sentenced to two and a half years in prison.

Boris Becker in prison: His whining is apparently not well received by fellow inmates

According to information from

Bild.de

, Boris Becker whines in the food queue in the morning, at noon and in the evening with his fellow inmates and then apologizes.

References to his actually privileged life as a former tennis star should not go down well with the other inmates.

Although some Becker fans are also said to be serving a sentence in the London jail, many inmates are apparently annoyed by him, according to the report.

No wonder Becker has hopes of being transferred to another, better prison.

According to information from Bild.de

, he often

asks the guards when the time will come .

In any case, it is not unlikely that the tennis icon will be relocated.

For example, celebrity lawyer Paul Vogel told

Bunte.de

that London's Wandsworth prison was "although the first port of call" but "usually distributed to other prisons".
