Many Parisian fans will no doubt see it as a sign, a clue in the choice that has the whole football planet in suspense.

At a time when PSG and Real are competing on the field of proposals to secure his signature and three days after his visit to the Spanish capital, Kylian Mbappé indeed took the break this Thursday in the jersey that the players of the PSG will wear during the 2022-2023 financial year.

As is the case on several occasions during the season, the reigning French champions stay from morning to evening at the Parc des Princes for a “workshop” day.

The opportunity for the club's communication and marketing departments to create all the different content - advertisements, video clips, photo shoots, etc. - devoted to the many partners in one go.

It was on this occasion that some of the club's employees, invited to attend morning training, saw Colin Kaepernick, the former quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers who had taken a knee in 2016 to protest against racism and police violence, or even the French MotoGP world champion, Fabio Quartararo, at the edge of the field.

A shoot out of sight

Confidentiality obliges, it is on the other hand out of sight that the session dedicated to the new Parisian tunic was held.

Only a handful of privileged people were therefore able to see Kylian Mbappé, chosen from among some of the headliners, have his portrait taken in next season's shirt.

Should we detect in this shoot any indication of the future of Bondy's crack?

Obviously not.

Since Kylian Mbappé is still under contract with Paris until June 30, the capital club could very well use his image if, as he has already done, he decides to reveal and communicate about his future jersey before the end of season.

If number 7 were to leave, the pictures would end up in the trash, since Paris would then have no interest, nor any right to exploit the player's image.

On the other hand, if he were to extend in the capital, the shots would already be in a box, his schedule at PSG and in the France team (May 28 to June 14) leaving him only a few beaches for this type of additional activity.

Note that, last season, FC Barcelona found itself in the completely opposite situation with Lionel Messi.

The player, who had not yet received any extension offer from Barça, refused to participate in the session of the same type when it took place on June 19.

Unveiled on social networks in mid-June, the release of the new Catalan tunic had caused a stir, the Argentinian having been, unlike Ter Stegen, Griezmann, Piqué, Pedri or Sergi Roberto, replaced by a model to present his jersey.
