The contract runs until 2023. Now FC Barcelona is apparently serious and is preparing an offer.

Lewandowski wants to leave FC Bayern Munich this summer, he informed the bosses last week.
Such finality in negotiations suggests the Pole already has a new club up his sleeve.
The FIFA world footballer is probably drawn to FC Barcelona.
According to media reports from Spain, the Catalans are luring Lewandowski with a three-year contract until 2025. Bayern apparently only offer a contract extension of one year until 2024, which does not correspond to the 33-year-old's ideas.
He doesn't feel valued by the bosses, and Lewandowski is said to have been "outraged" after an offer from Bayern.

FC Barcelona, on the other hand, is willing to fulfill Lewandowski's ideas.
In addition to a three-year contract, the Pole can look forward to a significant increase in his salary.
In Catalonia there is a salary of up to 35 million euros, in Munich Lewandowski allegedly earns “only” between 23 and 25 million euros.
Barca seem to have the cash available for a transfer.
On Thursday evening, it was announced that Philippe Coutinho, on loan from Bayern Munich, would make a permanent move to Aston Villa.
In addition, a farewell to midfield ace Frenkie de Jong is being discussed, 75 million euros should be in the room.

Successor would have to come
FC Bayern has so far strictly rejected the premature departure of its goal machine.
