Robert Lewandowski has probably decided against an extension at Bayern.

The Munich bosses probably no longer completely reject a change of Poland.

Update from May 12, 6:50 p.m.:

Is he going?

Does he stay?

The future of Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski has been discussed for weeks and months.

According to tz information, the Pole will not extend his contract.

The picture

had previously

reported.

The Pole is said to have informed the Bayern bosses last week that he would not extend his contract in Munich.

His contract expires in 2023, at the end of next season.

This means that if FC Bayern still wants a fee for the world footballer, they have to sell him this summer.

The question is, what is more important to them?

To have the 35 million transfer fee or a striker next season who is good for 40 goals across all competitions.

Lewandowski farewell possible?

Several things supposedly make bosses rethink

First report from May 12, 2022:

Munich – At FC Bayern, only Niklas Süle was officially dismissed in the last home game of the season against VfB Stuttgart (2:2).

But the defender, who switched to Borussia Dortmund, is certainly not the only professional who will leave the Reds after a less than satisfactory season.

It's possible that even the biggest name in Julian Nagelsmann's squad will pack up and never appear again for the Reds in the Allianz Arena.

Even if the club bosses have repeatedly emphasized that they will under no circumstances let Robert Lewandowski go this summer.

Because this point of view should no longer be set in stone.

At least that's what the

picture

reports , according to which the categorical no is slowly crumbling.

The background is therefore the behavior of the goalscorer, who recently seemed very annoyed by FC Bayern.

Lewandowski farewell to FC Bayern?

Goal hunter seems increasingly annoyed

As an example, the championship celebration in the "Rocca Riviera" is mentioned, which he left after an hour.

Likewise the small party on the lawn after the bowl handover, at which Lewandowski was more concerned with his wife Anna and their two daughters than with the trophy or the teammates.

This could indicate that the current world footballer is against the grain that the extension of his contract, which expires next summer, was not negotiated early on.

Just a few weeks ago, CEO Oliver Kahn and sports director Hasan Salihamidzic met with Lewy's advisor Pini Zahavi.

Will FC Bayern let Lewandowski go?

Fronts should be hardened

According to

Bild

, the fronts are already hardened, the Pole wants to leave the club, and FC Barcelona's interest is already being reported all over the country.

According to the article, FC Bayern should have set a pain threshold of 35 to 40 million euros for the 33-year-old, who appeared on Säbener Straße for free eight years ago and has since netted an incredible 343 times in 373 competitive games.

The Catalans could apparently come to terms with this sum.

Will the guest appearance at VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday (from 3.30 p.m. in our live ticker) be Lewandowski's last appearance in a Bayern jersey?

After the appearance

against Stuttgart, Salihamidzic

answered evasively to the question about the clear attitude in the personal situation: "As I said before, we will have talks."

FC Bayern without Lewandowski?

At least 40 goals per season would break away

A departure of the number nine would of course tear an enormous gap in the offensive of the record champions.

Lewandowski has scored at least 40 goals every season in Munich.

In the Champions League alone he scored 78 times.

But football is a team sport and the bosses should also play with the idea that a future without the star striker could bring positive side effects.

The game would no longer have to be completely tailored to the snapper who outshines all the others, other offensive players could possibly play more freely and use their strengths more profitably.

In addition, another and particularly important part of the upheaval could be brought forward, because at FC Bayern there is already an over 30 party with Lewandowski, Thomas Müller and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

But the Warsaw-born seems to be choking off the chances of great talents with his presence, as he doesn't want to miss a single minute of action.

Lewandowski's successor at Bayern Munich: rumors about Mané and Lukaku

Bayern could only lure a big-name attacker ashore if Lewandowski is no longer there.

Most recently, Sadio Mané from Liverpool FC and Romelu Lukaku, who was unhappy at Chelsea, were traded.

At least the Senegalese is a completely different type of player, not nearly as robust, but faster and more tricky.

If there were actually quiet thoughts about a commitment from Erling Haaland, they were smothered earlier this week with the announcement of the transfer to Manchester City.

Better options would be Bayer Leverkusen's Patrik Schick, Benfica's Darwin Nunez, Stuttgart's Sasa Kalajdzic or Ajax Amsterdam's Sébastien Haller, where the Reds have already made use of for defence.

In any case, one thing is clear: the newcomer would be following in enormous footsteps that he cannot fill on his own.

If Bayern actually let Lewandowski go, the club's greatest striker era since the unforgotten Gerd Müller will end.

Kahn and Salihamidzic will also be aware of that.
