"It's quite possible that it was my last game for FC Bayern.

I can't say one hundred percent, but it could be," said Robert Lewandowski after the series champion's 2-2 (2-1) win at VfL Wolfsburg.

He scored his 35th goal in the last Bundesliga game of the season, and after the game the second best scorer in Bundesliga history behind Gerd Müller was crowned Bundesliga top scorer for the seventh time.

Lewandowski is tied to Bayern Munich for another season.

"Sure, I still have a year's contract," said the 33-year-old.

But he informed sports director Hasan Salihamidžić that “if an offer comes, then we have to think about it – also for the club.

Both sides have to think about the future.

That's all I can say," says Lewandowski.

"We'll have to wait and see what happens."

The club itself had made its top striker's change request public.

"I spoke to Lewa," said sporting director Salihamidžić before the final league game.

He told him "that he would like to do something else."

»There is little room for mourning«

It has been speculated that Lewandowski wants to join FC Barcelona.

However, Salihamidžić denied negotiations between the clubs »Lewa has a contract until the summer of next year.

That's a fact," he insisted.

When asked what had to happen for him to change his stance, the Bosnian said: "I don't deal with that because our stance has always been clear."

Coach Julian Nagelsmann described the goal scorer's possible change after the game as a "loss".

'There is little room for sorrow.

You have to try to make the best of the situation,” said Nagelsmann.

"It's not nice to lose a good player," he said.

But there are more important things in life to be really sad about.
