Nir Klinger was appointed Hapoel Haifa coach tonight (Saturday).
Klinger has signed for one season and this is his third term at the club spanning so far over 4 seasons.
The collaboration between owners Yoav Katz and Nir Klinger led the club to win three trophies: the National Cup, the Super Cup and the Toto Cup, to qualify for the top playoffs and to qualify for the third round of the Europa League qualifiers.
Owner Yoav Katz eventually chose Klinger after failing to reach an agreement with Slobodan Drapic and Marco Belbul.
Unlike Drapich and Confusion, Klinger has no problem keeping the current professional team, with whom he also worked in 2018.
His assistant will be Meir Ben Margi, fitness coach Danny Bibbs and goalkeeping coach Pini Avraham, who are considered the confidants of owner Yoav Katz.
The owner of Hapoel Haifa said after the signing: "We are happy to return and cooperate. Nir is the right person in the right place and the connection between Hapoel Haifa and Nir in recent years has generated great success. Nir knows the club, the team, the players well and has an excellent connection with the crowd."
Katz added: "It is important to me that the formation of the new team will also include the promotion of young players and that is one of the goals I set for him. I wish Nir a lot of success and from that moment on the whole club volunteered to help him in his role."
In another matter, the club's youth team returned to the Premier League today after a 0-1 victory over Hapoel Acre from a goal by Jubilee Bushnak.
