It's a move that should have gone off without a hitch.

And then there was this unexpected absence of Idrissa Gueye, the Parisian midfielder, on the match sheet for the meeting.

The 32-year-old Senegalese international was however well in the group called to play and communicated by the club at midday.

But a few hours later, the former Everton player had disappeared from radar.
