A young forward for the Gladiators

The next newcomer to the Erding Gladiators wants to gain experience and match practice.
Erding – We want to rejuvenate our team, and he fits in perfectly with our concept,” says David Whitney, spokesman for the Erding Gladiators, pointing to new signing Marius von Friderici.
The Munich player is moving from the Oberliga club HC Landsberg to the Bayernliga.
"I've played here in Erding for a year, that was with the juniors," recalls the 22-year-old.
But he soon moved to Landsberg, where he went through the entire youth team and has now been part of the squad for three years.
There he got last but little ice age.
"That's why I wanted to leave Landsberg and now I want to gain more experience and take on responsibility in the Bayernliga," says von Friderici.
The contact came about through the new Gladiators coach Andy Becher, who was already working in Landsberg.
He asked Landsberg's coach Sven Currmann, who didn't want to put any obstacles in the way of the young striker and even welcomed his move to the Bayernliga.
"He just didn't get the ice age he needed," says Whitney.

The 21-year-old sees himself as a striker "who can read a game, I have good ideas for the game, I'm fast and agile".
And his weakness?
"I'm not the strongest physically," he admits.
But he will work on that.
In any case, he wants to "give everything, give it his all in games and training and score as many goals as possible." And what does he think the team is capable of?
"My goal is the semifinals."
