TSV Murnau has started to falter in the promotion race.

There was only a meager 1-1 draw against table child Peißenberg.

Murnau

– It can happen, it happens to everyone, even the best are not immune.

We're talking about poor performance.

Usually not so wild, a season is long.

But there are hardly any worse times than at the end of the season if you still want to achieve big goals.

But it happened to TSV Murnau.

On the third-to-last match day of the district football league, the Drachen did not get past a 1-1 draw against TSV Peißenberg at home.

Coach Tim Schmid then analyzed soberly: "We were just bad." Why?

He didn't know how to answer the question himself.

He gave his team a "good plan" to take with them, Murnauer took the ball for long stretches and also took the lead after 53 minutes.

The goalscorer?

Georg Kutter, of course, who scored his 26th goal of the season.

At this point, Schmid believed: "That's the chest looter." That also made the impression at first.

The hosts squeezed Peißenberg in their half and created three good chances, "but we don't put the lid on it," complains Schmid.

Afterwards, his team fell back into the same pattern as before the lead.

The Murnauer gave a nervous impression, played unusually sloppy passes, making the guests unnecessarily strong.

However, the Peissenbergers didn't really know what to do with it, more than half chances were not booked.

Up to the 90th minute.

A long ball into the top, coordination problems in the Murnau defense and a lob from Michael Stossberger over the rushing home keeper Felix Schürgers - the equalizer was done.

"Fitted into the picture," commented Schmid.

He then brought Michael Marinkovic into play in the hope that he would succeed with the lucky punch, but more than half a chance - a high ball into the penalty area, which Murnau just missed - did not result.

After the final whistle, Schmid was careful not to let his battered players panic.

"Nothing broke." He suspects that the pressure of having to win every week inhibits his young players.

“But that is completely normal and has never happened in this form before.

So I forgive them.”

At the same time, however, he also knows that this must remain a one-off slip.

Because the race for promotion and relegation place is more exciting than ever because Murnau's competition was unscathed.
