Because of several shootings near the Fiserv Forum, NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks has canceled the planned public viewing for the decisive seventh play-off quarterfinals on Sunday against record champions Boston Celtics.
This was announced by the basketball club.
A good 11,000 fans had watched the sixth duel in the Deer District near the arena on Friday when the acts of violence began shortly before the end of the game and three people were injured by gunshots.
A total of 21 people were injured as a result of three separate shootings.
No victim is in mortal danger.
Fans ran through the streets when they heard the gunshots.
"The shooting last night in downtown Milwaukee was appalling, we condemn the devastating violence," the Bucks said.
How the public viewing will continue if the Bucks reach the semifinals is still open.
