The German ice hockey team has to fear the loss of exceptional striker Tim Stützle at the World Cup in Finland.
HELSINKI - The Ottawa Senators NHL forward drove off the ice in pain after a check to his knee in the first period of their third round game against France in Helsinki.
The 20-year-old didn't come back at the start of the middle section either.
According to the German Ice Hockey Federation (DEB), there was initially no diagnosis.
The DEB announced that Stützle would not return against the French as the game progressed.
