TSV Jetzendorf celebrates championship: "The days blur"

TSV Jetzendorf is champion in the district league north.

After the ASV defeat on Friday, the game against Eichstätt II faded into the background.

- "The pear wasn't quite fresh and the body didn't really play along either," said Markus Pöllner.

The co-player coach of TSV Jetzendorf and most of his teammates went into the game against VfB Eichstätt II. The reason: the day before the game, competitor ASV Dachau lost 2:5 in Pfaffenhofen, so Jetzendorf is the championship in the District league north and the associated state league promotion can no longer be taken.

A celebration was organized that lasted well into the night.

Head and legs were tired against the regional league reserve from Eichstätt, but the Jetzendorfer could easily get over the 1:2 defeat.

The Jetzendorfers have been playing at the limit since the winter break.

They had won each of their eight games and overtook ASV Dachau on the last matchday, which had long been considered the number one promotion favorite.

After the big opponent had messed up in Pfaffenhofen, the joy erupted in the form of a hearty party.

This was not noticeable in the early minutes, as the Jetzendorfers were still floating, driven by euphoria.

Pöllner captured a ball in the seventh minute and used Maximilian Kreitmair, who scored the icy 1-0 in front of the opposing goal.

A little later, the lack of sleep became noticeable for the first time: This time Pöllner made a mistake on his own sixteen, Valentin Eichlinger made it 1-1.

A ball loss that does not normally happen to the 23-year-old co-player coach, one of the defining figures in the TSV game.

Jetzendorf's player coach Alexander Schäffler nevertheless saw a "good district league game".

TSV had problems when Eichstätter used their fast offensive players Marcel Jasmann and Mamadou Diallo.

But that didn't matter to the Jetzendorfers.

They just kept partying after the game.

“You team deserved it and worked hard for it.

It's amazing how confident we were after the winter break.

Our series was unbelievable,” said Pöllner.

And Schäffler, who was promoted to the national league for the second time in his third season as head player coach, had to admit: “The days have become blurred since the spontaneous celebration after the FSV victory against Dachau.” The 33-year-old can get over that.
