FC Bayern does not come to rest in the change theater around Robert Lewandowski.

Now ex-president Uli Honess intervenes and explains the transfer poker.

Munich – At Bayern, things are going haywire at the moment, with several secondary theaters making up the headlines about the series champion.

The criticism of sports director Hasan Salihamidzic does not want to be silenced and Niklas Süle made a mini scandal.

It almost goes unnoticed that Bayern couldn't win the last three Bundesliga games after winning the championship.

Nevertheless, FC Bayern Munich wanted to finally celebrate the tenth bowl in a row after a two-year break in front of the fans at Munich's Marienplatz.

But the all-determining topic these days is and remains the exchange theater around super striker Robert Lewandowski.

That's why ex-president Uli Hoeneß felt compelled to explain the tricky situation.

FC Bayern: Uli Hoeneß explains Lewandowski-Theater – "It's all about coal, nothing else"

"What I hear and my opinion is: You don't give him away," said FCB honorary president Uli Hoeneß, who also sits on the supervisory board, in a media round on the sidelines of the championship celebration.

Board boss Oliver Kahn had previously spoken a "Basta power word", Hasan Salihamidzic also stated that Lewandowski would not be sold.

The Pole does not want to extend his contract, which runs until the summer of 2023.

"It's also clear: It's all about coal, nothing else.

You can't solve the problem with dinner at Tegernsee," said Hoeneß.

During his time as manager, the Bayern man had often done work to convince undecided professionals by inviting them to his domicile on Lake Tegernsee for talks.

Lewandowski apparently does not agree with Bayern's salary offer and wants to switch to FC Barcelona.

FC Bayern: Uli Hoeneß is not worried about Lewandowski – and reminds of the BVB transfer

Despite all the speculation about a change, Hoeneß is firmly assuming that Lewandowski will stay at Bayern.

"The theater is over on September 2nd, we can live with that," said Hoeneß, because the transfer window ends at the beginning of September.

Then Lewandowski would go into his last year of contract with Bayern.

The 70-year-old is also not worried about Lewandowski's motivation.

“I always got to know Robert as a super professional.

In Dortmund, too, he knew a year beforehand that he was going to Bayern Munich and had an outstanding season back then.

That's why I'm one hundred percent sure that Robert will play very well for us next year," said Hoeneß.

Lewandowski moved from BVB to Bayern on a free transfer in the summer of 2014.

FC Bayern: Uli Hoeneß does not rule out a contract extension with Lewandowski

FC Bayern does not want to give up Lewandowski prematurely under any circumstances, as everyone responsible has made it unmistakably clear.

Even with a high transfer proceeds for the FIFA world footballer, Bayern would probably not give in.

"That would only be an option if there was a player who could replace him for the money, I don't see him far and wide.

If you have a year to look for your successor, the starting position for FC Bayern is much easier," said Hoeneß.

A candidate as Lewandowski's successor is apparently the Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic.

But Hoeneß also gives all FCB fans hope that Lewandowski might extend his contract after all.

"Besides, if he stays now, it's not certain he'll want to leave in a year.

At 35 he knows what he has at Bayern.

I'm very confident that we'll have a good season with Robert Lewandowski," said Hoeneß.

The football business is indeed very fast-moving.

Lewandowski will be 35 next summer, but it's still completely open whether he'll still be looking for a new challenge.
