The Brooklyn Nets star did not deny the use of soft drugs in an interview with David Letterman: "The truth is I'm in 'hi' even now when I talk to you. It's like drinking a glass of wine."

Smoking marijuana among NBA players is a fairly well-known, though informal, matter.

The one who went tonight (Tuesday) a step further, when he did not deny the use of soft drugs is Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant, all as part of a special interview he conducted with David Letterman.

"The truth is I started smoking marijuana when I was 22, I didn't even hide that thing," Durant admitted, "I use marijuana to this day, it clears up some of the distractions from your brain. It fixes me and helps me sit more relaxed. It's just like drinking. A glass of wine".

"I'm actually high right now."

Asked by Letterman if he smoked today, the basketball star replied: "Yes, the truth is I'm in 'hi' even now when I talk to you.

I smoked before this interview. "

"I definitely think there is nothing wrong with that and the matter should be made legal," Durant continued, "it improves the feeling of everyone who smokes, but it does not improve performance."
