European Championships 2022: General information about table tennis
Table tennis is considered the world's fastest racket sport.
While the serve requires a lot of technique, after a few rallies there are such rapid moves that the eye can hardly follow.
But it's not just about reacting quickly.
Tactics also play a major role in winning an encounter.
The absolute stars of the scene come from China, the country with the most world champions.
However, the teams of the German Table Tennis Association (DTTB) do not have to hide.
Timo Boll, who is already over 40, is one of the stars even in Asia, and other men and women in the German squad have also shown that they can dominate the European table tennis scene.
In fact, it's possible that the Germans will put the other teams in their place in their home country.
Now it is
to be on top form and to withstand the high pressure of expectations.
In any case, spectators can look forward to exciting games.
