Tony Vairelles, 49, the former striker for the France team (8 selections), was sentenced on Monday by the Nancy court (Meurthe-et-Moselle) to five years in prison, two of which were suspended for facts of violence with a weapon when leaving a nightclub in 2011. The former idol of the Bollaert stadium in Lens, famous for his mullet haircut in the 90s announced via one of his lawyers his intention to call.
With the pre-trial detention already carried out (5 months in 2012) and the remissions of sentences, he has less than a year left to serve and he can benefit from an adjustment of his sentence.
