Although Real Madrid will advance tomorrow (Thursday, 22:00) to the semi-finals of the Final Four against Barcelona as an underdog, Pablo Lasso and his players have previously specialized in coming small and coming out big.
After all, even in the quarterfinals there were those who bet on Maccabi Tel Aviv and not on them - even though the series ended in a resounding sweep.
Coach Pablo Lasso also admits that he and his players use contempt for them as fuel.
This is also what they did before and during the series against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
As you may recall, the Yellows came to the closing game of the regular season in the Euroleague with a "choice" option: a home win over Fenerbahce set up a meeting with Real Madrid, and a loss was a date arrangement with Milan.
As is well known, the Yellows won and believed that they were capable of surprising Real, but were deceived.

"We talked about it in the locker room. Maccabi Tel Aviv thought it would be better for them to meet us, maybe they underestimated them a bit because they said we were in a crisis," Lasso said yesterday.
"The whole world thought he was rejected, but Real Madrid should never be underestimated - we always play hard, always fight, always give everything. It was very clear to us that we would go up to the Final Four. We should not be mourned so quickly, we do not die easily."
