Eintracht Frankfurt is this year's Europa League champion!

Sevilla – In the current Bundesliga season, Eintracht Frankfurt did not really convince and ended up in eleventh place.
In the Europa League, however, the Hessians showed their best side.
After an unbeaten group stage, the Frankfurters defeated high-class opponents in the knockout phase with Betis Sevilla, FC Barcelona and West Ham United.
In the final at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuan in Seville, Oliver Glasner's team also defeated Glasgow Rangers on penalties to lift the trophy.

Kevin Trapp was the first on the RTL microphone a few minutes after the decisive penalty.
"Look at that!
We knew it was our turn.
There isn't one hero.
All of us, we made it!” said the SBU keeper full of adrenaline.
"I don't know what to say.
I almost had a heart attack on penalties," said Ansgar Knauff, who answered the RTL reporter's questions with tears in his eyes.
"We knew beforehand that Trapp would save a penalty," said Knauff.
"And now we've done it, it's just beautiful."
"Until the last fan goes home," they will now celebrate, said Martin Hinteregger, who was injured.
Captain Sebastian Rode said: "We simply deserve it, we are incredibly happy to be able to celebrate with the fans," he summarized.
"It just hurt a little, I was thinking about Schweini at the World Cup final," said the former Bayern player about his head injury during the game.
