Tishreen and Jableh teams opened their participation in the AFC Cup today, with the first draw with Al-Hilal of Palestine, and the second loss against Al-Seeb, Oman, with a goal without a response.
In the match that was held at Muharraq Stadium in the Bahraini capital, Manama, Tishreen tied with Al Hilal in the third group competitions, which also includes the Lebanese star and the Bahraini East Riffa.
Tishreen will meet Bahrain's East Riffa next Saturday in its second match of the competition, to conclude the first round by facing the Lebanese star on the twenty-fourth of this month.
In the match that took place at Al-Seeb Stadium in the Omani capital, Muscat, Jableh lost to Al-Seeb, Oman, 1-0, in the first group, which also includes Lebanon's Al-Ansar and Kuwait's Kuwait.
The competition system stipulates that the participating teams within each group play in the first round of one stage, at the end of which the first place qualifies directly to the semi-finals, in addition to the best second place in the three groups. The West Asian champions qualify for the AFC Cup final.
