The Bundesliga bowlers from VfB Hallbergmoos lost the last game against Raindorf 3:5, but were able to celebrate in the end thanks to champion Zerbst.

Hallbergmoos

- The sports bowlers of VfB Hallbergmoos just missed out on victory in their last Bundesliga game of the season: They lost to SKK Raindorf with 3:5 points in 13.5:10.5 sets and 3605:3613 wood.

In the end, there were only eight cones that decided in favor of Raindorf, second in the table.

Nevertheless, VfB remained third because champion Zerbst won 7-1 against league fourth-placed Breitengüßbach.

Radovan Vlajkov scores for Hallbergmoos

The Raindorfers, in whose squad six of the seven players who traveled are placed among the top 20 bowlers in the cut list, played strongly.

VfB man Patrick Krieger lost out against Michael Kotal with 1.5:2.5 sets and 616:635 wood – as did Alexander Stephan against Daniel Schmid (1:3 sets and 565:599 wood).

Only Radovan Vlajkov got a team counter for Hallbergmoos in the first round: He defeated Milan Svoboda with 3:1 sets and 618:613 cones.

At the end of the game it gets really exciting again

With 48 wood behind, Tobias Kramer took to the lanes against Alexander Raab, Damir Cekovic against Tim Brachtel and Bogdan Tudorie against Manuel Lallinger – and the games were exciting.

In the meantime, the Raindorfers were able to extend their lead to over 130 wood, but towards the end of the games this shrank noticeably.

In the end it wasn't quite enough.

Kramer got the point with 4:0 sets and a result of 633:541 cones, as did Tudorie with 603:585 wood at 3:1 sets, but Cekovic had no chance against the two-time junior world champion Brachtel and clearly with 1: 3 sentences and 570:640 wood.

The bottom line was that the Hallbergers were ultimately missing eight or nine cones to be able to bring in the two team points for the better wood result.

Still, there was no reason for sadness.

Because VfB ended the round with 15 wins and five defeats in third place in the table - and will represent the colors of VfB on the international stage next season.

A huge success.
