SV Marzling is giving its coaches Thomas Zellermeyr and Matthias Kugler a fitting farewell.

The successors have already been determined.

Marzling

- No more danger of relegation, many spectators and wonderful weather: It was the perfect scenery on Sunday for SV Marzling and its outgoing coach Thomas Zellermeyr.

Shortly before the district class game against SC Freising began, the players of the first and second teams came onto the soccer field to unroll a giant banner with the letters “7 years!

Merce Zelle + Kugi”.

This message was addressed to coach Zellermeyr (47) and the reserve coach, Matthias Kugler (38), who each completed their last league matches as coaches of the Marzlingen football teams at the weekend.

Both will join FC Eitting in the summer.

"Marzlingen football has developed strongly."

The atmosphere around the local sports field on Isarstraße was great.

"The campaign was very well received," reports SVM department head Ludwig Haas.

"We wanted to set an example and show how important the last seven years have been to us." Just how important the preparation for the campaign proves: The Marzlinger kickers met in a player's garden, taped up the banner with the appropriate lettering and sprayed the paint on it.

It was worth it, emphasizes Haas: "It was a great seven years.

This long time is now something special, and the two have left their mark on the club.

Marzlingen football has developed strongly.

We won't find out how big the footsteps are until the summer." Then the experienced district class trainer from Marzling, Christian Grüll,

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

“We are very happy with the three.

They fit the profile perfectly.

Christian knows us all very well, but also has his own philosophy and many new ideas.

And Stefan and Manfred know the club inside out,” emphasizes Haas.

That's why all players are excited for the new season.

“These changes can also bring us a breath of fresh air.

Every player will learn a lot of new things.”

Going into the season finale with mixed feelings

But now the last games are coming up.

Zellermeyr also emphasized this, who was very happy about the campaign, but immediately referred to the last matchday.

The SVM-First wants to say goodbye to the champions FCA Unterbruck with a positive feeling from a season characterized by staff shortages.

And for Marzlinger Reserve, it's even about preventing relegation to the B class.
