The Euroleague Final Four kicks off: Before Barcelona and Real Madrid meet in a fiery Clasico, the first semi-final in Belgrade brings together tonight (Thursday) between the factory owner, Anadolu Efes, and Olympiacos who topped the entire season and finished in second place.
For the Greek representative in the Final Four, who beat Monaco 2: 3 in the quarter-final series, this is their first appearance in the class since 2017 and they will want to record their first win since 2013, so current coach Yorgos Bratzokas stood on the lines.
Bratzokas, who has been named coach of the season, will hope for a successful evening for Costas Slokas, who has been a partner in Olympiacos' previous two wins along with Yorgos Printzis and Costas Papanicolaou.
Another person who may be significant is ex-Maccabi Tel Aviv Tyler Dorsey, who will meet the person who collaborated with him for two seasons in yellow - blue, Elijah Bryant.
The Turkish team, which owns the factory, wants to become the third in the current millennium after Maccabi Tel Aviv and Olympiacos, which wins the second cup in a row.
Anadolu finished the regular season in sixth place, beating Milan in the playoffs despite not having the home advantage, and hoping that the squad that mostly won the trophy last year would also rise in Belgrade.
The Turks defeated the Greeks 69:88 at home this season but lost by Piraeus 87:85 after extra time, but they will try to prevent the Greek majority in the crowd from making an impact.
Vasily Mitchic, who will collaborate in the back line with Shane Larkin, wants to become the first since Vasilis Spanoulis to win the Final Four MVP title for two years in a row.
