The Bundesliga club triumphed in the final of the Europa League in Seville on Wednesday evening 5: 4 on penalties against Glasgow Rangers.

Both clubs are not permanent guests in the premier class.

Rangers have been waiting for a European Cup since 1972.

The international press writes:

Great Britain:

»The Telegraph«

: »Aaron Ramsey misses the crucial penalty in a shoot-out while Rangers suffer a heart attack in the Europa League final.«

»Daily Mail«

Rangers fans, on the other hand, fell silent for the first time.

But those who stayed applauded the players who had given it their all and were broken at the loss of a golden opportunity.

They had waited fifty years for a European trophy;

who knows how long they'll have to wait for another chance."

: »Colombians Borré crowns unity in the final of the Europa League«
