The girls from the Albany School of Athletics team in New York State were recently suspended from training and banned from attending sports competitions because they came to school training with sports bras, in violation of the dress code required by the school.

The incident that caused a huge storm in the US, took place as the girls claimed inequality in the relationship between the male athletes, they were allowed to train shirtless in the heat wave that plagued the area while the athletes were required to wear full.

The one who allegedly banned the girls from training with the bras is head coach Ashley Chapel, who justified the ban by saying that some athletes have boys coaches.

According to runner Jordan Johnson: "She confronted us about the bras and said we could not be dressed like that because of our male coaches."

Jordan, who was among the suspects back home and wrote a huge article (already signed by 3420 city residents) in which she demands to stop demanding codes to wear gender bars.

"The boys were nicely asked to wear a shirt but we were punished because we trained with sports bras in the presence of male coaches," she wrote.

Many residents of the city and surrounding area joined the petition, stating that "sports bras are not lingerie but a legitimate garment."

One of the authors who signed stated that "if whites are allowed to be shirtless then girls should be allowed to wear a sports bra", another respondent wrote that "stop with the double standards for your whites and whites".

Following the big storm, the school issued a statement stating that the punishment is not related to the dress code but to the athleticism's behavior towards the school staff.

Ron Lasco, the district's communications director for schools, explained the controversial decision: "The dress code for both teams is the same and was handed out last week to both men and women. Books of Student Conduct. "
