That's why Weilheim's basketball players lost so clearly against the "Dachau Spurs"

But in the end, the Weilheimers had too many failures to keep up with the favored "Dachau Spurs".

The basketball players of TSV Weilheim got really under the wheels in the regional league game against the "Dachau Spurs".

There was a reason for that.

Weilheim – The holiday replacements had certainly imagined that very differently.

Florian Willkomm, who represented Darryl Millwood as coach at the Weilheim basketball team's home game against the "Dachau Spurs", saw little that was good.

The TSV basketball players, who were third in the table in the 2nd regional league south, had no chance at all.

Without the experienced Thumser brothers, Raphael Sedlmayr, Sebastian Niederreiter, Philipp Brenner and Johnny Millwood, the Weilheim team went under at 59:99 (32:53).

"Unfortunately, there was nothing to be gained with our young squad," regretted Willkomm.

Of the experienced players, only Andreas Brem and Miljan Grujic were left for this game.

"We followed from the start," reported Willkomm.

In the first round, however, the home side stayed close to the Dachauers for a long time.

Only from the eighth minute – Weilheim was 17:19 behind – did the “Spurs”, who had arrived in good numbers, slowly pull away.

At the change of sides, the guests were already in the lead with 21 points, not least because the TSV defense found it very difficult to slow down the Dachau offensive.

"It doesn't matter which defense we played - we just didn't get access," said Willkomm.

In the third round, the backlog of the Weilheim squad continued to grow.

In the final quarter, the hosts only got twelve points.

The yield of the guests, on the other hand, was more than twice as high.

In the end, however, the TSV men were spared a three-digit bankruptcy.
