Munich/Nuremberg - Show skating on the last day of the match in the Bavarian Regionalliga: SpVgg Bayreuth has been champion and promoted since last Friday.

The U23s from Munich missed their goal for the season and will make a new attempt to return to the 3rd division in the coming season.

But then certainly with new staff, as some players will leave the club.

Captain Nicolas Feldhahn Maxi Welzmüller has already left.

Feldhahn (35) ends his career, Welzmüller wants to continue playing and is apparently about to move to the suburbs to league rivals SpVgg Unterhaching.

While captain Feldhahn was substituted five minutes before the final whistle by Martin Demichelis and given a fitting farewell in the last home game, the Argentinian ignored his deputy and left him as the only field player on the bench for 90 minutes.

In addition to the two veterans, other players will leave the club, as every year, in order to promote the breakthrough in professional football elsewhere.

The departure of the supposedly best player of the past season is considered certain: If Julian Nagelsmann does not have his own plans with Gabriel Vidovic for the coming season, the 18-year-old top scorer of the U23s will be unstoppable.

He has already been allowed to get involved with the star ensemble three times in the past few weeks.

Future US international Malik Tillman is also likely to look elsewhere.

The striker made a total of six appearances for Bayern's first team in 2021/22 (four times in the Bundesliga, once in the DFB Cup and once in the Champions League).

Goalkeeper Christian Früchtl should also be in action for the U23s for the last time against his former loan club Nuremberg.

Nagelsmann gave him his debut in the Bundesliga in the 2-2 win over Wolfsburg on the last matchday.

Even if there is nothing sporty about it on Friday evening, the fans can look forward to another entertaining game.

With 110 goals in 37 games, the U23s from Säbener Straße have the best attack in the regional league.

The youngsters from the Valznerweiher are outsiders, but will certainly not give up without a fight and are hoping for their eighth home win.
