Former French soccer world champion Patrick Vieira has been involved in an altercation with a fan during a chaotic storm in Liverpool.
TV footage shows the Crystal Palace team manager grabbing and kicking a young man after the 3-2 draw at Everton.
In addition to the English association FA, the police also announced an investigation into the incident.
However, there was no display against the coach, it said.
Before his kick, Vieira had been filmed and harassed by the suspected Everton supporter on his cell phone.
The fan returned the favor with a shove for Vieira's attack before the coach was pushed aside by other spectators.
"I have nothing to say about that," said the 45-year-old when asked about the incident.
Everton manager Frank Lampard reported he wanted to offer Vieira protection in the home cabin but "didn't get him.
He ran 80 yards across the field.”
Space storms are increasingly causing problems
With a 3-2 win, Everton secured their place in the Premier League with one game remaining.
After the final whistle of the game, in which the hosts were already 0:2 behind, the supporters stormed the field.
“It was the sheer excitement of the fans who came onto the pitch after we avoided relegation.
When done right, let them stay put, let them have their moment.
As long as they behave, no problem,' Lampard said.
As in Germany, space storms are increasingly worrying those responsible in England.
A fan of second division Nottingham Forest was sentenced to 24 weeks in prison on Thursday.
He had headbutted Sheffield United captain Billy Sharp after the semi-final second leg of the Premier League play-offs.
There were similar scenes in both semi-final duels in the fight for the last free place in the 3rd division.
