The Spaniard uploaded a photo from the celebrations and wrote: "I am very proud to play in the best club in Israel and set an example for the club and fans all over the country."
This morning the Spanish contact explained the post.
"It really wasn't a farewell. The whole audience sang to me 'stay' and it moved me, so I wrote it."
Rodriguez even recounted in the same conversations he scheduled a meeting after the cup game with the club heads to get clarifications about his future.
