It's the game in club history: SC Freiburg is in the DFB Cup final.
But there are problems when getting to the showdown against RB Leipzig.
Munich/Berlin – The Breisgau is upside down.
Figuratively speaking.
Because: SC Freiburg will play the DFB Cup final against RB Leipzig this Saturday evening (from 8 p.m., here in the live ticker).
According to SWR, around 20,000 fans from southern Baden traveled to Berlin.
The euphoria is huge, a win against the "Red Bulls" would be the greatest success in the club's history.
SC Freiburg against RB Leipzig: ICE Deutsche Bahn from southern Baden stops
In the 2012/13 season, Freiburg were in the semi-finals of the DFB Cup, but failed at VfB Stuttgart.
So this time it's the final.
In the city with around 230,000 inhabitants there are a number of public viewings, everyone is on their feet.
Even those who traveled to the capital from the deepest south-west of the Federal Republic.
But: Hundreds of them were threatened with a serious delay.
Because: There were problems with Deutsche Bahn (DB).
As the

reports, the ICE372 stopped on the route with hundreds of fans at 9 a.m. between Freiburg and Offenburg.
Nothing worked.
The reason: a defective pantograph.
The railway sent technicians to the route to fix the problem.
According to the report, it took them three hours.
The
Badische Zeitung
quoted Freiburg's building mayor, Martin Haag, as saying: "We're in Berlin for the finale."

SC Freiburg against RB Leipzig: Displeasure in the run-up to the DFB Cup final
In the weeks leading up to the final, Freiburg's refusal to bring a joint fan scarf onto the market caused resentment in Saxony.
Which is not unusual in games like this.
In the DFB Cup final between SC Freiburg and RB Leipzig, however, the focus should now be on football.
