Climber Geva Levin finished last night (Saturday) in third place in the European Cup round competition held in Klagenfurt, Austria.
In doing so, he set Israel's record achievement in the European Cup competitions and became the first to rise to the podium in this competition.
Levin finished the qualifiers in 15th place, in the semi-finals he finished third and as mentioned he also finished in the same position in the finals.
Levin summed up the competition: 'This achievement excites me very much, I work very hard for it and it's fun that I finally manage to bring a result that shows my true level.
There is nothing more exciting than seeing the Israeli flag on the podium.
It's just my start and there is still a lot to do to continue to achieve results like this. '
In the World Cup round competition held in Salt Lake City, USA, Alex Haznov finished in 7th place in the qualifiers when he closes all the tracks, and tonight (Sunday) he will compete in the semi-finals.
Yotam Ben Reuven was also close to the top 20 and qualified for the semifinals, but eventually finished in 23rd place, just two attempts away from qualifying.
In the women's category, Ayala Kerem was one place away from qualifying for the next stage when she finished in 21st place.
Meanwhile, and based on all the results of the European round competitions, Yael Taub and Ram Levin are the first Israelis to secure a place in the European Bouldering Championships to be held in August.
